Aug 2019 CAC Report

There has not been a CAC meeting this month, however there are several scheduled for next month (Sept) as we hit peak season on the run up to Conference.

National Policy Forum Report

I am getting a lot of questions about where the NPF Report is. This is usually handled by the Policy Team not the Conference Services Team. My last conversation with the Conference Services Team is they’re still waiting for it. I will continue pursuing but members need to contact their NPF Reps (click here) to find out what is going on.

Constitutional Amendments

The Constitutional Amendments submitted and agreed by the CAC to be tabled should be released in the next week. I am unclear about what the delay is, I assume it’s to wait for the NPF Report and give Secs all the information in one go.

CAC Elections

Thank you again to the 169 CLPs who nominated me, I am truly humbled. I would be grateful if CLP Secs could inform their members of what to do if their ballot has not arrived. If anyone still does not have a ballot by 5 August they can request a reissue by emailing labourmembership@labour.org.uk.  Further useful information will be made available on the Labour Party's FAQs page, www.labour.org.uk/summerballotfaqs

  • Ballot closes 12th Sept
  • Result announced 13th Sept

Future CAC Meetings

The next CAC meeting is on 16th September and 18th September to look at Conference Motions and Conference Motion Appeals.
